A la Carte evening meals, served in our dining room, have proved to be a hit with our guests, especially on cold winter nights. No need to go out … The dinner menu offers a wide range of winter dishes including hearty soups, sizzling steaks, stews, fish dishes, lamb chops and deliciously decadent desserts prepared by Trust, our popular chef.
The lodge’s legendary breakfasts include cooked-to-order hot dishes, crispy warm toast, creamy porridge and cappuccino coffees, not excluding the health breakfasts with fresh fruit juices, fruit salad, cereals, yoghurts, cold meats and cheeses.
Sandton can get chilly in winter. At the beginning of June expect 6°C at midnight and 7°C in the early morning. In Johannesburg the climate is subtropical, with mild, sunny winters, (however, nights can be cold) and pleasantly warm summers. The city is located near the Tropic, but also on a plateau at 1,700 meters (5,600 feet) above sea level, so the climate is tempered by altitude, and is pleasant and healthy.
