I have stayed at the Rivonia Bed and Breakfast (now known as Rivonia Premier Lodge) for close on 30 years. It must have been around 1995 when my work colleague and I occupied 2 of their 3 rooms for a week.
1995 was the year South Africa hosted the Rugby World Cup. Two neighbours, Jill and Tricia of River Rd, Rivonia, felt they could make a small fortune renting out rooms to rugby fans who would stream in from all over the world.
Rivonia Premier Lodge. Looking back over 24 year. We've grown ... from 2 rooms to 50, from a B&B to a Lodge.
