As the owners of Rivonia B&B, Gerard and I have seen many persons arrive in Johannesburg seeking medical help.<\/p>\n

We recall an English tourist who\u2019d had an accident in Mozambique and needed emergency surgery.\u00a0 There were those guests from as far afield as Zimbabwe and Kenya, who required chemotherapy in Sandton. We can recount many tales such as these.\u00a0 Under these traumatic circumstances we\u2019ve had the privilege of providing accommodation and supporting the family members of those being treated in hospital.<\/p>\n

Since Gerard and I both hail from small \u2018dorpies\u2019, we also know how intimidating a city can be; especially if one is in a foreign country. At our guest house our managers and staff make every effort to lessen the strain our guests find themselves under.<\/p>\n

\nGerard, Jill and their staff are just superb. I stayed here for a month, mostly alone as my husband was in\u00a0hospital\u00a0nearby. I was deeply concerned about his health, shocked at what had happened, fighting with the insurance company and 1000s of miles from home – yet their kindness, care and thoughtfulness <\/u>got me through it. The deeply caring Tau and Blessings drove me back and forth to the\u00a0hospital\u00a0daily and even visited the patient on their days off. <\/u>Words cannot express my gratitude to all at Rivonia. We look forward to returning there, fully recovered, just to thoroughly enjoy all that this wonderful place can offer.

Getting the details just right with a personal touch<\/em><\/strong>
\nMy husband and I stayed here for a week at the end of May when I had an unexpected medical situation that required care at the nearby Sunninghill\u00a0Hospital.<\/p>\n

I believe my husband said it best when he said that we were treated as if we were the only guests,<\/u> despite the fact that they were fully booked all while we were there. I don’t know how they managed it, except that each employee seemed genuinely invested in our well-being.<\/u>.
