Just check availability with the Front Desk).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Quinton<\/strong>, our F&amp;B manager, and <strong>Trust<\/strong>, our Chef, have come up with some delectable dishes to tickle your taste buds. \u00a0Just reading our new menu makes one\u2019s mouth water.<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>EVENING MEALS<\/strong> offer a culinary tour to <strong>exotic <\/strong>destinations with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Calamares <em>al la<\/em> Romana<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spicy Moroccan Chickpea Salad,<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fillet Mignon<\/strong> and<\/li>\n<li>the ultra-delicious <strong>Norwegian pan-seared Salmon.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you prefer <strong>home-grown dishes<\/strong> you can relish<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rivonia\u2019s <strong>Best Burger<\/strong> or<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lamb Chops<\/strong> sizzled in Lavender Butter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>My personal <strong>favourites<\/strong> are<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the crispy <strong>Spinach &amp; Feta Chicken Roulade<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>and the <strong>Bar-One Mousse Cake<\/strong>, served with whipped cream and Chocolate Sauce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rivonia B&amp;B has a history of good food. Don\u2019t miss the experience!<\/p>\n<p>We have asked Quinton to share one of his special recipes. For summer he recommends his favourite the:<\/p>\n<h2><strong> Strawberry and Spinach Leaf Salad<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Prep Time: 10 Minutes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves: 4 <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200g bacon, diced<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup roughly chopped pecan nuts or walnuts<\/li>\n<li>2 cups baby spinach, rinsed<\/li>\n<li>2 cups fresh strawberries, roughly sliced at different angles (rustic)<\/li>\n<li>1 ripe avocado, roughly cut into cubes<\/li>\n<li>100g feta Cheese (roughly crumbled)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For the Honey-Balsamic Dressing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 Tbsp honey<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>3 Tbsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Shake together in an old jam jar until the mixture emulsifies and looks \u2018creamy\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Season with salt to your liking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What to do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and fry the bacon until crispy and golden. Remove and set aside on kitchen paper to drain.<\/li>\n<li>In a small dry frying pan on the stovetop, toast the nuts over medium-high heat until just lightly golden, stirring from time to time. Remove and set aside to cool.<\/li>\n<li>Scatter your spinach leaves over a platter, add the strawberries, diced avocado, and cheese; sprinkle over the nuts and dress just before serving.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Note: For a speedier salad dressing, drizzle simply with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice or balsamic vinegar<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mondays thru\u2019 Thursdays \u2013 dinner at our place!
